I paint 'Dynamic Abstracts' to express wonder, beauty, and vitality. The main element in my work is colour, as an expression of energy, as in my "Landscapes of Awareness". I want to bring painting back to its' original perceptual role in stimulating awareness and wonder. The versatility of acrylic paint allows me to work in subtle transitions in layered glazes. My paintings may look spontaneous, but the placing of each colour, mark, and dot, is meticulous and precise to produce a sensation of 'free flowing' vitality and movement.
